Tammy Newmark
Eco Enterprises Fund

Tammy Newmark is the CEO of the EcoEnterprises Fund, an investment manager that, since 1998, has successfully deployed capital to 30 companies across Latin America, generating fair and sustainable livelihoods for local communities and preserving nature. A leader in impact investing, Newmark has over thirty years of experience in the field. She launched EcoEnterprises Partners II, LP in 2012 under EcoEnterprises Capital Management, LLC in which she is a partner. She served as President of Fondo EcoEmpresas, S.A., EcoEnterprises Fund’s first fund under management, for The Nature Conservancy from 1998 to 2010. Newmark directed Technoserve, Inc.’s environmental business advisory services in Latin America and Africa. Prior to that, she was a founding officer of Environmental Enterprises Assistance Fund, the first venture fund that specialized in renewable energy, clean technology, and green investments in emerging markets. She established investment groups: Yayasan Bina Usaha Lingkungan and Preferred Energy Investments in Indonesia and the Philippines, respectively. She has also worked for the International Finance Corporation and JPMorgan Chase. Newmark is co-author of Portfolio for the Planet: Lessons from 10 years of impact investing, (Earthscan/Routledge Press, 2011). Newmark has an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Carina Pimenta
Conexsus Impact Fund

Carina Pimenta is the Executive Director at Conexsus and is currently developing the Conexsus Impact Fund within the Lab. The instrument creates a business platform that can develop a variety of financial products tailored to specific communities and enterprises, addressing the gap in the way small-scale farms and forest-dwellers in Brazil access available financing. Carina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and a MA in Social Development from the University of Sussex.

Daniel Serra
MOV Investimentos

Daniel has been working to promote sustainable development policies since 2006. At MOV, he invests in companies that can reduce inequalities and/or reverse environmental degradation in Brazil. Previously, he worked as a consultant and had executive roles in a consumer goods company in the areas of government relations and executive governance, and later, in the third sector, he coordinated the construction of an agenda to support the country’s development.

Tatiana Alves
Selva Fund

Awarded in 2021 by Época Negócios as one of the 50 climate innovators in Brazil, Tatiana is a senior ESG, climate focused and finance professional, working for the last 25 years on the intersection between finance and sustainability. Holding a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in finance from the University of São Paulo, Tatiana worked for 10 years in the Brazilian financial sector as a correspondent banking manager and as an international products specialist attending corporate clients in the food, agribusiness, energy, pharmaceutical and auto sectors. After concluding Columbia University’s International Affairs Master’s degree program in NYC, focusing on Environmental Finance and Policy, she has dedicated the last 15 years of her career in the design and implementation of financial products and mechanisms alongside impact related programs that channel investments in key sectors and activities towards a sustainable, equitable and low carbon economy in Latin America.

Martha de Sá

Martha is CEO of VERT and has been in the financial market since 2007. She has an extensive experience in agribusiness and debt capital markets, both in structuring and fundraising in Brazil. Works very close to fintechs and startups, with a strong bias in impact theses. She holds a degree in Business Administration from FGV-SP, with courses at Luigi Bocconi and Grenoble École de Management. Chartered Financial Analyst by the CFA Institute and CGE of ANBIMA.
