Job Title: Investor Network Manager

Location: In the Amazon region of South America (Preference for Belem or Manaus)

About Us:

The Amazon Investor Coalition is a non-profit start-up on a mission to increase and improve investments in forest-friendly economic development, and the rule of law, across the Amazon region of South America. The Coalition is an impact finance learning-and-collaboration platform that convenes investors and philanthropists, in partnership with communities, companies, governments, and civil society. We have catalyzed over $50 million of new investing in the Amazon region to date.

Our projects span across research, conservation, community support, and sustainable business practices. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and multilingual Investor Network Manager to join our dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in building and maintaining strong relationships with investors around the world, who are key to driving forest-positive Amazonian economies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investor Communications: Develop and maintain a strong communication strategy for all investor relations. This includes preparing presentations, financial reports, and newsletters.

  • Strategic Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, especially those with a keen interest in environmental conservation and sustainable development of the Amazon region.

  • Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Analysis: Keep abreast of market and entrepreneurial community trends and developments, particularly those affecting the Amazon region, to advise and inform both the Amazon Investor Coalition community.

  • Investment Reporting: Develop reports that highlight the entrepreneurial ecosystem’s efforts and achievements in the Amazon forest, appealing to socially and environmentally conscious investors.

  • Language Proficiency: Utilize English, Portuguese, and Spanish with the ability to communicate effectively in all three with a diverse investor base and stakeholders within the Amazon region and around the world.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organization at conferences, seminars, and investor meetings, both virtually and in person, in the Amazon region and beyond. Must be willing to travel.

Qualifications:

  • Experience Business, Finance, Communication, Environmental Studies, or related fields.

  • Several years of experience in investment management, finance, or related fields, with a strong preference for experience working in or with projects in the Amazon forest region.

  • Proficiency in English, Portuguese, and Spanish is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, corporate finance, and market analysis.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders.

  • Passionate about environmental conservation and sustainable development, with a keen interest in the Amazon region.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global, multi-disciplinary team.

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
